Simple Resume Tips

  • Have your Name and Contact Information no more than two font sizes larger than the text.
  • Make your Objective short and to the point, with a “Result”.
  • Always keep your Education at the Top of the Resume, under your Objective.
  • Include courses, seminars, and classes you have attended under Additional Education.
  • Use BOLD Italic’s to emphasize your Former Positions, lower case your Company.
  • Give a brief Responsibilities statement or Job Description, under each Former Position.
  • Follow with 3 statements regarding how you Made $, Saved $ and Saved Time & $, for each Former Position you have held.
  • Drop all non-professional jobs before your first Career Position or since College.
  • End with a Summary of your Goals in the next 5 years, in a brief 1 to 2 sentences.
